hi all

i decided to enlarge one of the 2 cent washingtons coils I posted before.

i found some interesting items on this stamp that I did not see before.

there are three things I found interesting.

1] the upward mark on the lip

2] the strong straight lines just to left at georges pony tail

3] the the extra white dash marks in the t in cents. one to the left and one to the right

i looked at the 1847usa site an found no mention to these at that great site.

does anyone have any ideas what this can be?

again...i appreciate any and all help

1] note the dark upward mark on the lips

2] note the strong horizontal lines below the ear and going down to the left of the pony tail

3] note the dash marks in the t in cents

I have no idea as I'm just starting to figure this all out but you have a very keen eye. I'll be curious to see how this turns out!

in further looking, I noticed that this had an added line to the right ribbon....is this only in type 111 ? the rest of the ribbon is a very weak printing....

the only types of vertical perf 10 and type 111 are..sc455, sc492.

in looking harder I think it is a sc492 but is do not think I see it mention about a difference in the lips but it does mentions something about a cracked plate.
