I collected until age 10, when other stuff took over.
I started again at age 36 by total accident and have not looked back.

I am collecting for pleasure and learning only and it's been a REAL pleasure believe me.
Met a number of collectors I 'met on the net', and this has been the most rewarding experience for me.
I hope to meet more one day when I get off my Butt and make a visit to the USA or Australia !

Nuff said

Hey Stinchcomb, there are a few car guys here besides myself, Rileysan trips the tree, and a few others are "rev heads" as they say down under. All car guys are not barbarians. Oh and I like guns as well. I'm only 53 soon to be 54.

Very observant, been sneaking a few slurps on the cooking sherry this evening? I don't understand your negative attitude toward auto enthusiasts. What does someones other interests have to do with belly button lint? And guns have what to do with what?

I started collecting when I was 12, I'm 52. For some periods my interest went down, but never actually dropped it completely. Although I must say that I'm lucky enough to live for most of my life in Barcelona; a thriving city with two weekly stamp markets (decadent, but still going on), many stamp shops down town (most of them now closed); the periods spent outside Barcelona were in Madrid (Spain) with a big Sunday stamp marked and many stamp shops, and (about 1986/87)in Reading (England); there, I was going to the main PO to buy and circulate new issues FDC; take the coach to London to spend hours the late PO Museum in King Edward st or drop by the Trafalgar sq. Philatelic counter (after having had a look at my preferred Leonardo at the National Gallery), to see what was new. Walking and starving to spend the tight money on stamps and books...
Those were the days my friends... I don't regrett a single second!

Started collecting world at age 11, but immediately switched to Canadian mint. Never eased up on my collecting through to my current age of 64.

yes, I've been pounding on keys on the inter-net since @1996, mostly on Drag Racing

A man after my own heart!

I've been a drag racer since 1996 and a member of NHRA's Div 6 Certification Team since 2004. I also ran the Tech dept at Portland International Raceway through 2009.

There are a few of us "Rev-heads" as Rod likes to call us (an Aussie term?) on this forum so you will be right at home :)
