Would this pair of dated precanceled stamps be considered unique? Note there is an apostrophe before the year on the first stamp, but it's missing from the second stamp. (A broken dating device perhaps?) Date and initials AMF OCT '41 are all 2mm high. Can you identify the user?:

Thanks. Can I assume the missing apostrophe preceding the year makes no appreciable difference as far as collectability?

Confirmed AMF though not listed in catalog, is American Machine & Foundry, based in Brooklyn known for there AMF bowling machines.

Just another stab for the AMF. American Machine and Foundry.. According to wikipedia they made cigarette manufacturing machine's before getting into bowling pin spotters and bicycles.
