Mint Error Coin Collector Needs Stamp Education!

Hello from Texas!

My user name is Yokozuna, but you can always call me Ben.

I'm an active member of the Coin Community Family forum dealing in Mint error coins.

I have now joined the SCF for some assistance in learning the value of the stamps in a collection for the widow of a dear friend here in Texas. She has asked that I help her value her husbands stamp collection.

I'm sure that the Stamp Community Family forum members are as helpful as the Coin Community Family forum members in grading and helping set a value on rare items.

I have started reading your post in hopes of getting a better idea of what to look for and how to judge condition on stamps.

She has given the collection to me so that I can post scans and photos as needed.

I'll be asking questions and posting photos when needed and I ask for some understanding when I ask questions that any stamp collector should know, simply because I'm starting from scratch!
