Just announced, yet another 2012 commemorative stamp for Arizona's Statehood, to be issued February 14, 2011:

The news article is at this link:

Given the dizzying array of 2012 stamps announced on "Beyond the Perf", and add to it this issue (and the New Mexico Statehood issue separately announced for January 2012), and the potential new postal rate stamps (if it gets approved for next year), I don't know that my budget can afford to buy all these new issues. I've lost count, but I think we're up to 60+ face different stamps for next year!

It is discouraging. I have for the past two years been trying to get a sheetlet of each new issue, and am finally realizing the cost. It does add up.

I have stopped getting each new issue and will be very selective of the ones I do buy.

I will be trying to pick these up today if I can find them. I am thinking only 4 not the entire plate block.

I picked up the stamp on the first day of issue (February 14) and as I typically do, I mailed a cover to myself for the February 14, 2012 postmark. While my Massachusetts postmarked cover is meaningless to Arizona's Statehood, at least it proves I got the stamp on the "first day of issue" ... not like the bogus "First Day of Issue" postmarks we send for after-the-fact that are not really cancelled on the date of issue.
