Still going through a bunch of stuff I picked up a few years ago and never looked at. Came across this duck stamp and was just about to soak it off when I thought it might be better left on the original piece.

Just Googled George E Marquit and found his obituary from 2009 :(

I very much agree with revstampman. What you have there is a RW4. Leave it on, for a couple of reasons.
1) Its worth a lot more on the license.
2) Its more sellable, if that's what you want to do.
3) Its a great piece, removing the stamp will destroy some history.

If you don't know already, the stamp scanned is listed in the Scott Catalog as No. RW4 with a current used value of $60.
