Hi I am from the coin forum and I saw go to stamp forum so thats how I ended up here. I have a collection of stamps that were gifted to me "as were my coins" and I dont have a clue about stamps. I dont know if its a nice little collection or what but I would say its a good few handfulls of stuff and would love to learn something about it. Nothing learned nothing earned type of thing. so for starters is there like a redboook of stamps?! ha im sure its not a redbook but a price guide and/or some book that show what kind of stamp it is. Thanks for all info

Instead of spending $$$$ on a catalog, go to your public libraries reference area, and look for Scott Catalogs..

Welcome to the stamp community, daviscfad! Checking out some catalogs from the library is a good idea. Also if you post some pictures we can help you identify what you have. |

You can also go to freestampcatalogue.com and look up some of your stamps--much easier than going to the library. Remember that condition, centering, broken perfs, color, creases, etc effect the value of your stamps. Welcome and we look forward to seeing your collection, so scan away! We're always happy to drool over other people's stamps! Gussyboy1 |
