Hi

I have been buying catalog sections from the ebay seller for 3 or 4 years now. It is unfortunate that one may be missing the start or end of a country but the cost of pages is well worth it, especially now that a catalog is very expensive. I do have an advantage that I can go to my friend's store and photocopy the missing pages from a full catalog (I know it is not totally legal to do so)

Years ago there was a dealer in upstate New York who did the same as this seller. Unfortunately that dealer passed away and there was no other source until now. What the seller does is totally legal. It is no different then selling a full book. He does a great job dis-assembling the catalog.

Regarding packaging. I have never had a problem with the "large brown envelope". Even the dealer from years ago sent the pages in a manila envelope. If you want a "box" ask the seller, he and his wife are very friendly and are willing to accommodate. You will pay more postage which could be more than the cost of the pages.

Rod: You will have to buy the pages for the entire country. They do not split the countries by year.

I have tried this solution, but I prefer to have the whole catalogue. But if you're just after the one country, or you want the information from, say Scott, for just a few countries, its very cost-effective compared to buying the whole album.

Hi

Regarding copyrights and copying book pages. A while ago I was making a copy of some pages from a 1945 Scott Catalog for a friend. FedEx Office (previously Kinko) would not allow the copies since the old catalog was copyrighted. Whatever pages I had already made they confiscated and dumped in the shredder. However, Office Max allowed me to make copies. The sales person said he did not really care what I was copying.
