Hi all. I recently stumbled upon this website and realized that my search is over. I can spends days reading here. I'm eager to get the feel for this forum and I do have a question or two that I KNOW I can get answered by individuals here. But first I need to figure out the correct areas for those questions... I hope to make a few friends along the way.

Thank you all for the warm welcome. And Dave, I think you may be right. I just might be spending a LOT of time here! I noticed that there were only about five choices for my avatar when I signed up yesterday. I noticed many of you have pictures that were not part of those choices. How do I go about changing mine to something else. Of course, this may be the most important question I ask! |

Hello RonD, welcome! What do you collect, by the way? All stamps or a specialized area or areas? |

What do I collect... well, I started with United States and a Minuteman album. I then transferred those over to Mystic's Heirloom Albums. I don't remember why but I did. If I had it to do over I would have bought the Scott National Albums. My interests then widened. Great Britain (Machins and those up to the Wilding commemoratives), Germany (up through the Third Reich), and Pitcairn Islands (I got excited about those after reading "Mutiny on the Bounty"!). I do a few topicals but only as I come across them (Churchill, Grace Kelly, Scientists, Tall Ships). Lately, I have developed an interest in Worldwide classics. I have a few and was able to pick up three Scott International Albums (that I'm still trying to figure out how they are setup. I posted something yesterday in the general forum regarding that). I don't want to use mounts for these used stamps and would rather hinge them. Finding suitable hinges, I've discovered, is another challenge. So, in a nutshell, that is what I collect. Thanks again to everyone for the warm welcomes. I think I will like it here. |
