No attachment, scan or link appears. Please re-try again. I'd be interested to see what you have.

We had a recent discussion on this before, but I note that your Albania Overrun Countries stamp has a Victory, Vermont precancel. For anyone so interested Victory, Vermont is a discontinued post office having been in operation from 1858-1952. The current population of that town is only 97.

I wonder what the need for a precancel was from that small community. Probably an old business that has since moved or closed shop, I suppose.

Wil - your picture is OK now - thanks for posting. OC's are my favorite denomination specialty. Here is a page from Alaske. If I have two or more different from a type, I hinge them onto pages photocopied from the Scott National album.

OC's, all from Alaska. Thanks Chasa. My pics are too small. Working on that. My wife posted them for me. I don't have a scanner hooked up to my computer (it's a 64 bit processing Windows 7.)

Looks like all those Alaska precancels are from Hooper Bay. Any idea who would have used them back in 1943-44? It seems as though it's a relatively small town of little more than 1000 people today.
