My 1992 album for Australian stamps has two sets of 6 Threatened species stamps issued that year...one printed litho and one printed typo with die cut perfs..i went through a bag of them and found plenty of the die cut ones..but only 2 of the 14 x 14 1/2 litho type. I was pleasently surprised to see that they have gone up in value according to Scotts to 80 cents apiece..my catalog had them at 25 cents apiece..thats the fun of stamps..the hunt !

Wow Phil nice find. I always love it when I can find that one stamp that makes it all worth while. I'm already hooked on the thrill of the hunt even in my short hobby carrier.

Cim, what I really get a kick out of is when I pull a valuable cover out of a dollar box..for example at times a U.S. stamps dealer will have a box of foreign covers on his table..he justs wants to unload them..he is not going to spend his limited time pricing them so he sells them for a buck apiece or whatever..i have pulled some good ones like that !!

I don't normally check for varieties, but I know I have a few spares of these stamps, so now I will have to go a check.

You guys are making me jealous. All this talk about dollar boxes and shows and stuff. We don't any around here that are close enough for me to get to. Phil maybe some time when you have a show you are going to you can let me know in advance and I can send money to ya and get you to grab me some cools covers out of the dollar boxes.

Cimarron - If the good is Lord willing and the creek don't rise I'm going to the New Orleans show on Aug. 1. If you would like for me to pick up something for you just shoot me an email and let me know. I don't know exactly what will be there, but I'd be glad to look for something for you.

Phil, I checked all the copies of these stamps that I have. I have lots of the ones with coarser perforation, these are peel and stick stamps. I only have 5 out 6 of the finer perforations, which are lick and stick stamps.

Greg anything that would fit into a "Zoo" topic ( mammals, fish, insects, reptiles, amphibians, flowers etc.) and any type of aircraft, or anything Oklahoma. These are my main areas of focus right now.

Aircrafts and zoo are great topics and also easy to collect too. I also collect aircraft topical stamps. But don't think you can add insects, flowers and fish in zoo theme

Steve, you see what I am talking about..the courser perfs are the die cut perfs..i think I have found 3 of the lick and stick ones by now...they are around..just not as plentiful..i guess folks would rather peel than lick it appears....
