My appologies if this is a repeat. Is the '38 RC dated unknown and what is the company name, and is it related to SRC?

Known from San Frisco?

San Francisco should be a C4 3mm height both letters & date if so this extends the useage of this type beyond 1939. Handbook does show RC without puncuation in 1942 only!

For Chicago the "RC" does not exist.

Now an "AC" was used by International Cellucotton Co. in 1938 using a C4.

The second scan looks like "W.C. JAN 42" to me. Could that one be listed?

Good eye Wt1, "W.C." fits better, unknown user, but it is a C3 2.5 mm high used from 1938-42. It is now dependent on the measurement!

Back to the San Frisco. Warehouse thought it was a C-4. I am new at this so forgive me if I don't have as much info as you need. The 42 date is clearly 2.5 mm. and the letters are also 2.5mm. if you get past the bleed. Is there a date range listed for it?

My second statement on the SF is a C3 "W.C." would match your measurement.
The only "R.C." is a C4 = 3mm.
