I got a nice quarter pound order of Thai kiloware in the mail today (Thanks ebay seller Greenmouse!) and amongst the interesting stamps is a hologram stamp (#1671). Scott states that "Soaking in water may affect the hologram). If this is the case, do I have any other alternatives to removing the stamp from paper or is it best just to cut around it ? This is the first hologram stamps I've ever come across and I'd rather not ruin it!

Has anyone tried the "sweatbox" method of removing stamps? It sounds interesting.

Per the suggestion of another forum member, I ordered some "stamp lift" to remove some stuck paper from some otherwise mint stamps. I ordered it from subway but it's available in many places. Dunno if it might be appropriate for you situation. I have yet to try it myself but it should be here in a couple days.
