Here is a scan of a postal card labelled "Soldier's Mail" funded by the Red Cross.

No date showing anywhere. Rear shows A.E.F. so am assuming it was very early WWII. Maybe even WWI.
Someone out there will surely know.

That's WWI. The unit is Battery B of the 81st Feld Artillery.

KirkS, Is correct ! The Term Expenditionary was only used in WW1!

The cancel was from an International Postal Machine. This cancel was used at a number of sites and on several different models.
