Was towards the end of the day yesterday and a dealer I had spoken with the day before waved me over and said "Hey, I found this in the bottom of a box and thought you might want it."
There's nothing of great import in it, but nice quantity, and given my focus lately on plate varieties and flyspecks, it's the perfect lot to hunt through. There also may be some cancels or silk papers hidden within.
Just goes to show, once again, that sometimes the best deals are at the shows. It also shows that catalog value and real value sometimes are a long way apart.

Wish there where shows down around here where I could find some gems like that. I saw a couple I know I have copies of but saw several I don't and that I need to find. Thanks for sharing
and how much for 1 of each dup from that treasure trove? One day I will actually start paying attention to which revs are which but just gotta love the work regardless of values.
