As I have returned to collecting after an absence of about 30 years my collection does not have any self adhesives in it. I am curios as to how others mount and display their mint self adhesives on album pages. With the backing paper or are there other methods being used. If you have photos that would be great.
Thanks
JJ

Use standard stamp mounts, of course. Works on anything.

I think I should clarify my question on mounting. I would like to use the stamp mounts that are available but would like to know how others mount their mints stamps in the mounts. Do you take the stamps off the backing paper and put some type of powder on the adhesive and then mount them or do you leave the backing paper attached and mount the stamp and backing paper in the mounts? Or are there other ways of mounting these stamps?
Thanks for all replies.
JJ

I leave the backing paper attached. It's the only way to be sure :)

Yes, definitely leave the backing paper on.

You may be interested to know that I had purchased some old Scott Stamp Mounts that were being discounted from a stamp dealer in a seemingly "odd" size of 40mm x 27mm, which are said to be the size for United Nations Commemoratives. They are just a fraction of a mm wider than a traditional stamp mount marketed for US Commemorative, but interestingly enough, they are exactly the perfect size for the US Self Adhesive Commemoratives as they have a slight bit more room to accommodate the backing paper. Of course, some collectors may prefer not to deviate from the traditional US Commemorative stamp mount size for the sake of consistency, but it does work.

They do have mounts specifically for self adhesive stamps. Mystic has a pretty good variety.
