These were part of a group I bought at Chicagopex.

First is a document from the Morris and Essex Railroad Co., Newark NJ. The neat thing about this one is that the stamp has a fairly long preprint paper fold.

This one not only has a nice vignette, but unlike most that are found with manuscript cancels, this one has a lovely boxed cancel.

This last one is really exceptional. A well-struck shield fancy cancel, from a tiny hamlet in NY, on a document that appears to be printed on tissue-paper thin parchment. It's very translucent and delicate.

So how do you mount these
Polypropolene envelopes? photo corners?
full page Hagners?
These look thin and would appear to offer quite a challenge.

I don't mount them. I either keep them in mylar sleeves or I use Blick presentation binders to store documents:

http://www.dickblick.com/products/b...ation-books/

They use inert materials (polypropylene + acid-free inserts) and are available in a host of unusual large sizes that you normally don't find in philatelic supplies. Great for oversized deeds, mortgages, etc. in that you can store them unfolded. If you want to store a document so that both sides are visible, you can remove the insert for a particular page (of course that cuts down the book's capacity).

They're incredibly inexpensive, evene more so if you wait for a sale or coupon. Last year they ran a 50% off sale and I stocked up bigtime.

They offer several lines of higher-tier presentation books, but these basic ones are more than adequate.
