Anyone pickup their Jose Ferrer stamps today? I found it interesting that the background color is quite a bit darker than the promotional illustrations -- almost "mustard color".

For anyone interested in the actual stamp and the USPS microprinting location, here it is:



Since the post office I went to had to get the stamps from their vault, they opened a fresh package for me and gave me the deck card. I found it interesting that Ashton-Potter didn't bother to use the accent mark in the first name on the deck card (probably because it wasn't intended for public distribution):



Now for the flyspeckers: While I know the image shows the actor glancing in one direction, it seems to me there is no white in the corner of the left eye, suggesting that the position of the eyes are uneven. Does anyone else see that? Do we know if the image is from a painting or a photograph? No big deal, just a minor curiosity.
