These three scans represent just one mailed item. Seemed unusual to me. In fact, I'd never seen one quite like it. Mailed in 1902, it appears to be some kind of a designed two-part postcard. Note the button on the left hand side of the first scan which allows the two cards to rotate around each other. One of the cards/sides is addressed and written to the young tike's father and the other part/side is addressed to the little girl's mother with a scribbled, note (Mama, cat, rat). Kind of cute, unusual, and all for two cents.
Interesting - looks like two postcards attached together with a metal pin. The 2c stamp would have been sufficient to mail both pieces as the postcard rate was only 1c in 1908.
Was curious about the address "Hoffman House - Madison Square" and found a few old print advertisements on Google.
What I find interesting is that the First scan is of a different cover or does this have two address sides??? I noticed the first pic has a stamp and cancel on it but the others do not. Still very interesting though.
Oh DUHHHHH I just noticed the info about one side being addressed to the father and the other to the mother. I feel like Homer simpson now
