Hey Greg,

As I was photographing my "earliest stamp" , I ran into these on the following pages. Thought you might like to see them. I think I have the other 2M,3M, and 4M zepp in another album.

Sorry I missed this post earlier Jim. All of the Zepps are cool, but I still like the U.S. issues best.

Here is a cover I'd just about kill for, but I certainly can't afford it.

What a nice cover. I wonder if there are back stampings to show if it went the whole circuit or just to germany and back?

I wonder if Stampdude would like this one ? its to Lincoln ave, Springfield Il. says first flight Hindenburg 5/11/1936..the stamps may look a little toned in the scan but they are normal green color 1

Gussy, not sure whats handwritten..but..sadly there is a handstamp on the back which I fear explains that this cover probably did not go by zeppelin but by regular airmail..at least I think thats what it means !!

The handwriting reads as follows: "Mit Luftschiff Hindenburg nach Nordamerika" = With airship Hindenburg to North America

Hey philb! Love the cover! So, someone wrote on it "With Airship Hindenberg to North America", but it went by regular mail?? How did that happen?
