Here's an interesting COD Card/Cover from Germany's era of inflation, apparently for 4,778,000 Marks! Sounds frightening but it probably works out to about a dollar-three-eighty.

Ziggy.. A circuit is a group of 17 books filled with stamps.

These circuits are mailed from Stamp clubs, to other stamp clubs
so that the clubs members can purchase stamps.

If you are a member of the APS, the APS will send the members their circuit books. [ Phil may be able to shed some light on this method ]

The stamps range from 25 to 50 percent of catalogue value

I've seen a "novemberletter" in a German board, that is about 65cm long, plastered with 329(!) stamps - and still there were 100,000 Mark missing

Pictures of this "letter" were posted by user BaD on 30.12.08 in this thread: http://www.philaforum.com/forum/thr...0043&page=10
Although I don't know if you can see attached pictures, if you aren't registered.
