Found an old Russian album in my "other" drawer. Dates from 1973 with CTO sets of late sixties and early seventies Russian art stamps. Must be worth at least 1 pound by now Interesting "advert" on the back extolling the virtues of collecting Russian stamps. I particularly like the "FDCs autographed by Spacemen"

I suppose it's plausible that "spacemen" actually autographed covers. Many conspiracy theorists believe that UFOs are nothing other than high-tech, military experiments, created in conjunction with extra-terrestrials!

Mezhdunarodnaya Kniga is the government sponsored organization that marketed stamps and first day covers to collectors abroad. If you want to know more, I suggest the book titled: Kniga FDC with Space Symbolics by Jim Reichman. I can provide additional information just email me.

You might visit any good reference library nearby to read Russian catalogues.
For you purpose Lyapin's "The Catalogue of the Postage Stamps of Russia 1856-1991" (2009), which has
English translation, but illustrations stop after 1960 (most of your stamps are before), further - text only.
