Letter from The North Pole~ Well, my daughter was scribbling and very carefully drawing with such great intensity that I got curious as to what was occupying a 4 year old for that long!? So after a quick investigation/interrogation I was informed, rather quickly, that it was a letter to Santa Clause and a picture. OK I thought, I said if you really really want to I will help you get that letter to Mr. Clause himself by putting it by the customary cookies & glass of milk and she thought about it foe a few seconds at most and quipped "Daddy may I have a stamp?" I was both taken back and shocked that Alley said "may I" and that she understood the concept of the stamp so I said ABSOLUTELY and I'll even let you pick it out! Well it was on then! After addressing the envelope with her best script (at best a readable Santa and North Pole) with the customary backwards letters and crowded non serif font.. she licked the envelope and picked out a Marge Simpson 22¢ stamp (Not even enough postage to get it out of the mailbox) and her & I walked it out to the post box together. I figured that the post-office people would just toss it into that huge bag or maybe the dead letter box and it would be all said and done with. The very next day my Wife runs into the house and and is looking for little Alley (My Daughter's Name) and upon asking about the urgency in her voice I got "Santa wrote her back!" OK here is where it gets sappy a bit because after careful examination of the contents of the letter it became quite clear that someone did take the time to open it up and read/decipher it (Apparently an English W.W.II Enigma machine is still in perfect operation at the "North Pole" :p ) and This is what I got back. I actually shed a tear when I seen it because of all the crap that has transpired in our family lately and I basically was Mr. Ebeneezer Scrooge incarnate for awhile- but it was just a little random act of kindness that warmed my heart and Alley's with just 2 days before Christmas! I will carefully get it out of the Vario Sheet and scan it for you.

Notice how they put Allen instead of Alley because they actually read it and took the time out of their busy holiday work day to reply!

I needed that as all of us Alley included have had a VERY trying week and it was VERY touching to me. I'll NEVER EVER part with this!

Enjoy friends! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
