Thought I would share a cover I received today. Haven't seen many of these addressed to India - too bad time did not treat the cover so nicely.

Can anyone confirm this would have flown on CAM 32?

Also, does anyone recognize the stamp that appears to read "RexxFedie" located between the CAM cachet and the address? Looks like it could be French?

PS: Happy New Year everyone!

Yes, this would have been a CAM-32 flight cover identified as 32W2 at this link:

Sorry I can't help as far as the rubber stamp, but probably a foreign postal authority mark authorizing it to be "redirected" as the initial address was no good. While the cover is in very rough condition, it did see three months of worldwide travel based on the backstamps from Bombay, India, Tokyo, Japan and back to Portland, Oregon.

Thanks wt1,

I'll admit that I have some studying to do regarding airmail covers. The reason I was skeptical that it flew via airmail was.

1. The 10c rate seemed low for both airmail passage as well as overseas transport to India.

2. Not sure why this would have had to fly airmail as Seattle is on the coast.

Any ideas? I guess its time to bite the bullet and buy that AAMC catalog.
