Hello,
First Time posting. I need some help.

I want to know if there is a place to go to identify old cancels. This is one in particular I am interested in. The Telephone a sound investment. Cool

Thanks
David

Great Britain used a lot of slogans on their Mail. As far as a website or periodical, I do not know of one but I'm sure it's out there somewhere.

I wonder how that first letter got across the
pond with just 1/2d postage. The other two
have 2 1/2d.

No problem at all Rod. Somewhere I have the letter that came in the De La Rue envelope and it's a thank you letter for something received as their inventory was lost in the Bombing of London, I'll see if I can dig it up and post it.

A couple of more, if you like. In reality I have got hundreds of more, including German, Swiss, American, French. By itself "slogans and advertisements" is a fascinating subject, commercials being a separate large category.
