The dollar lady had plastic shoeboxes full of federal duck stamps for a dollar apiece..the dealer next to her bought 1200 of them...i had no access to a catalog but I purchased a few..i should have bought 200 of them..but I have not guts !

Cim, if I purchased 200 I wonder how long it would take to double my money ??? Mabe I could have paid for my trip ?????

i just cataloged my dollar ducks using the 2007 specialized rw34 1967 old squaws 10.50 used,RW38 1971 Cinnamon teal 7.75 , RW39 emperor geese 1972 7.00, RW41 1974 wood ducks 6.00..i should have bought the load..guess I am no gambler !!

I don't think I could splurge for 1200, but I would definitely take 50 or maybe even 100 at that price.

Thanks for sharing the scan and the story (so we can all fantasize about finding such a deal)

WOW - I don't know the first thing about quack stamps so I think I would have probably caved in also Phil, but if I had seen a dealer buy 1200 at that price I would have had to get as many as I could afford.

I'm wondering why a dealer would sell at that price?????????

Swabbie, as she kept explaining to everyone..her husband had a table down the aisle and was selling the higher end stuff..i guess they had purchased a huge lot of covers and stamps which she was moving at a dollar an item...truly catalog disregarded...by very volume she was making money..probably a lot more than hubby...you can find deals at the APS shows ....
