A suggestion was made, ( on another thread ) about making a separate thread for Steiner pages...
Pros and cons... all opinions are welcome...
Here is a minor glitch that I have found...I recently printed the Steiner pages for Spain.. Just regular issues, no airmails or semi-postal, and to my surprise, I found three complete sets missing from the Steiner pages, all around 1975-1977

I purchased the subscription a month ago as well. I've been mounting India and France on 65lb car stock. No complaints on the pages so far; good layout.
No catalog numbers but that works for people referring to different catalogs.

Hi Ram, If you still want to trade France it should be easier as I'm mounting onto these pages too. Another recommendation here! |

I have used the Steiner pages for 2 years now. If my Memory serves me correctly I have printed Australia, Austria,Canada, Czechoslovakia, Belgium, Israel, Japan,France, Germany, DDR, Norway, Pakistan, South Africa. I'm sure I,m forgeting some. Anyhow for the most part I am very satisfied but there are some things that I don't like. Mostly for the Canadian pages. I'll Post some pictures when I get a chance. The Strips that they mount sideways look kind of funny to me but I got use to them. Maybee someday I'll redo those pages. Anyhow I use 24lb Synergy bond with 25% cotton. It feels more sturdy than normal 24lb paper withought the thickness of the stiffer cardstock. Countries like Germany and Australia alwready have 3 binders worth of paper I though the heavier paper would just be too bulky. Anyhow I have over 40 Albums now I this works very well for me. I'll take a pic of them in the bookcase soon an post. Great thread by the way Bob Dianne |

Dianne----thanks for that tip ,im going to try that 24 lbs. synergy bond paper , right now im using 24 lb Xerox pastel plus paper in the Ivory color {I prefer a off-white color to the pages } .Im also concern about weight and bulk and don't want a lot of heavy binders . |

I am a user of Steiner pages as well. I have enjoyed using them for some of my favorite countries. I print them out on card stock and put them in binders. However, printing all the pages for one country makes for a very heavy binder and it takes up a good bit of space. |

Floor trader you can get it in Natural, or white, I prefer the paper a little on the beige side. I get mine at staples. Dianne |

I have been using these pages for several years. I use them for all countries except Canada and USA. I downloaded the pagemaker files that were available and was able to get pagemaker and later upgraded it to Adobe Indesign4. That way I can add the Scott catalog numbers, add text and make new pages. Sometimes I will re-arrange the layout to make it more compact or make new pages for recent issues. I must have close to twenty 2to3 inch binders. I use paper I get from Staples office supplies. I am at work now and don't remember exactly the spec's on it. I'll check it tonight when I get home. Brian |

I have printed some Steiner pages and was quite impressed. I used a b&w laser printer and the following paper: http://www.staples.com/Staples-Cove...oduct_620700The packaging on the paper says it's 100% acid free. I don't have a subscription right now, since I bought the Mystic Heirloom album, but I do plan to scan in all 2010 and 2011 Ukrainian stamps for him, so he can complete his Ukrainian collection. |

The paper I use is also Staples cover stock, white, 67lb, acid free. I tried card stock but it was too thick. The cover stock works well in the 3-ring binders, it resists tearing out of the rings. Brian |
