Reading this makes me very happy. Yes we living here do not realize that. We take it for granted. Recently taking part in to Cover swap exchange I sent covers to Australia,France, Morocco,India etc. they received in four/five days.
An interesting read but "best" PO service can be measured in many ways. The primary metric that OSC took into account for determining the best PO service was employee productivity. Alarmingly, some key metrics that I would consider important in determining the top PO service in the world are missing, such as: average delivery time, real cost of postage, delivery success rate, and operating margin.
When you step back and look at the big picture - can a PO service that's facing severe financial troubles as well as imminent and drastic cutbacks really be considered the world's best PO service? Furthermore, is it any wonder that when you apply efficient modern technology to perhaps the world's largest mail market, you would end up with very high productivity figures?
They won't be #1 in my book until they can solve their theft problems. It's frustrating collecting Germany when many of the large German dealers won't ship to the US anymore.
