I joined to participate in the conversations, ask questions and share my stamp pictures. Now I sometimes spend more stamp time here than on my stamps. Even though I'm over the 50 posts, I still haven't bought anything here.

I've just remembered. I don't think lurkers can see topics in the 'Stamp Community Family Stuff' section.

Kirk, are you saying that after 50 quality posts a new member gets some free stamps? Or do you mean by trade?

Lurkering is ok,
BUT it is time to take the plunge. We all have and are better for it.

To be honest, whenever I join a forum of any kind I usually lurk for a week or two to get a feel for the place before joining up. This was the reason I didnt join a certain other antipodean stamp forum when I realised how people were treated there, and why I subsequently joined here :)

This is correct and makes this thread an utter waste of time !!



OK, it's not funny but I was almost on the floor laughing when I read Peterethio's post. This forum is just great. Good job it was AFTER my morning coffee this time.

So if one of the Mods can move this thread to the Main Collecting Forum, I will add to what Kirk has promised making the offer even more attractive.

Not to get all hopped up about lurking... A lot of times I check the site without signing in. But shouldn't membership have its privileges? Though a member for a while I haven't used or checked out some of the ones offered. But have enjoyed the discussions and knowledge that everyone brings.
