Here's a cover from Australia. A special postmark was sanctioned for one day on 3rd December, 2007 at Kangaroo Ground, Outside Melbourne, Victoria. A special coin cover with the theme 'Bounding Kangaroos' was also issued. This cover is unique in that it has the normal cancel in addition to the special one. The normal one is pictorial in itself. In addition it has been signed by the Postmaster Mr Ken King
This is one that Bandicoot had made. He went to our local post office in Success and got this stamped on the chinese lucky day, 08/08(Aug)/2008. I thought, that with Chinese people always seeking Success and prosperity, that this post office was a good choice.
Bandicoot nice cover my daughter was born 7/7/87 There was an article here in the paper about a Chinese cpl here that had a baby on 8/8/08 they had planned the conception date so they say so their child would be born on the "lucky" day
Look at the boo boo I made ! I went through the trouble of getting the special cancel at Washington 2006 and then asked the clerk if they would throw it in the mail bag and send it to my home..so they cancelled it again ! They wont get me again like that !!
