2 Nice Buys At Ameristamp Today

After talking with Art Launier and David Schumacher (known as Tipzi on Virtual Stamp Club) for a couple of hours at a corner table at AmeriStamp in Atlanta today, I found these for $3 and $5 respectively in a 19th Century cover box:

The top is a Type I, with outside frame lines on all 4 sides, including top and bottom, so is a Scott 25, $140 CV on cover.

The bottom is a Type IV, without top and bottom frame lines, and the side frame lines stop at the top of the design, so is Scott 26A, $170 on cover.

Pretty nice half-hour's look and these made me grin out loud!

It was unfortunate that I ran out of cash and even better that I left my check book in the truck. Otherwise I would have stayed at the show until it closed an who knows what my bill would have been!. I'm happy about your purchases. Meeting you and David and that "Round Table" discussion was the best part of the trip. My best purchase were the Chase & Ashbrook reference books.
