Specifically I am wondering if if any substantial additions have been made since the 2010 Edition to the Stamped Envelope and Wrappers Section of the catalog.

I recently received a few envelopes that appear unlisted including this variety of the star design by Richard Sheaff which appears to integrate the embossed bars of U619 with the sharper text and graphics of U623.

I also appear to have several varieties of UO84 which include un-watermarked paper that omit the "recycled" imprint which is unlisted in the footnotes of my 2010 catalog.

On a somewhat unrelated note "Official" Stamp #O134 is unlisted in my catalog, I am wondering if it appears in the 2012 version?

To anyone with a newer catalog who can check these things, I would appreciate it!

I have a Scott 2011 US Specialized and none of the listings you reference have changed.

I suspect the "Official" Stamp O134 was intentionally left out in anticipation that a different denomination coil stamp would have been issued to fill in that number gap, but apparently it wasn't, so the gap remains in the numbering system.

panda.bear,

Your U619 has its own catalog number in the latest UPSS 20th/21st Century Stamped Envelope catalog: 3745A. Catalog value mint: $65. Used $75.

The DoD inscription at the left was printed at the same time as the indicium, and thus qualified as an official variety with its own designation in the catalog (not to mention scarcity and a higher cat value).

re UO84:

The aforementioned UPSS catalog recognizes 9 varieties of UO84, based on watermark, recycled or not paper, tagging bar size, and Verner Press CC.

Catalog prices range from $.75 to $15.00 mint.

Thomas,

Thanks very much for the information. I was not aware that there was a specialist society devoted to US Postal Stationery. I will keep their website in mind though if I come across any more mystery items.
