George, you can delete your own posts, but I don't think you can't delete your topics. You can, however, edit the title of a topic. Click the Edit icon in the bar above the first post (pause the mouse pointer over the icons to see a tooltip). Then edit the Subject field above the post. You can type something like: Duplicate topic - please ignore or something like that.
