I'm looking at a C14 from my dealer - unused with a hinge remnant. Looks nice - but my question is that it has a small "thin" - how much of a mark down in value should I attribute to the thin?

I think it depends on the extent of the thin as well as the centering and overall appearance of the stamp. My 2010 Scott Price Supplement lists the Mint OG C14 in a range of $185-650 depending on the centering - and then of course there are other factors such as toning and overall condition that come into play.

Assuming it is good (VF) centering, and the thin is small and not noticeable on the face side I would think $100-170 would be a reasonable price range.

Assuming toning, average centering, and a noticeable thin, I would think $50-120 would be the range.
