Don't have a clue about any of these other than stock transfers. The 2 little ones are sperry and hutchinsons one with MOP 507 overprint and the other ZYA 561 ovpt. Any info greatly appreciated . Also noticed a few of the Ohio Consumer receipts have various watermarks.

The Ohio are consumer receipts for paying tax on a purchase. If you go to topic https://goscf.com/t/6383&whichpage=...Terms=sales, I have a detailed explanation there.

The Florida Citrus Stamp was also discussed in an earlier thread at this link:

The New York Stock Transfer Tax Stamps were previously discussed at this link:

The Sperry & Hutchinson stamps are S&H Green Stamps (trading stamps) that were in commonly given as store "premiums" from the 1930's through the 1980's. The company still exists as a former shadow of itself as "S&H Green Points". A history of the company is outlined at this link:

Almost no reason to google. Thank you for the links and interesting read on the Ohio ones. Must have been a pain to the retailer and imagine each customer would be sick of them after about 3 purchases.

And for what it's worth,

Verizon switched over to Frontier in my part of the woods so they changed over my website to this:
http://myplace.frontier.com/~ktk.la...TransferTax/

You'll always find the most current info there (that has "frontier" in the web address) instead of the older verizon one - wish I could have them redirect and completely remove the old one but no such luck.

Anyway - glad to help out

Kurt

Oh by the way Nitrolures , as your avatar suggests, are you interested in fishing or maybe involved with the company of the same name?

Good explanation. Thanks ncbuckeye. Really great stuff here and hard to believe that this was the first sales tax.

Carey- I am "Nitro Lures" or at least the original one -- I know there are several other Nitro related fishing items on the market. Please do not bring your stamp collections fishing unless you plan on soaking kiloware along the shoreline.

Well, at least that way I would be able to combine my two favorite activities. I don;t think my wife would like it a whole lot as she doesn;t know how to operate the boat.
