All,

Good evening! I've found a SC#2905 at the local stamp shop, and when picking through them I opted on choosing this one, as it was the only one with a printed '380' on the back . It looks like it was machined - not done by an 'owner'. If anyone has any information on this marking, I'd appreciate it!

It is a back number applied only to coil stamps by USPS. Bulk mailers buy very large coil rolls (up to 10,000 stamps per roll) The back number, for one thing, helps the mail room people calculate how many stamps are remaining on the rolls.
