US C98 Black Coat V. Green Coat?

I know this Airmail Stamp was notorious for poor centering and color misregistrations (a minor one shown on the right stamp) but is that also the reason why the left stamp shows a black coat and the right stamp a dark green coat?

There appears to be traces of black just below the red lapel and to our right of the lapel. Possibly the black is under-inked?

The strength of the white lines of the collar, and the entire left side of his head are different too.

Black lettering in "Airmail" is shifted as well, and blue is off.

This stamp is all messed up :)

The whole image on the right stamp seems to be shifted to the bottom compared to the left one.
