Hello, I have a very good friend and he's a fellow stamp collector and sent me a bunch of high value stamps with some flaws and I want to buy them but am unsure what to offer exactly? Here is a scan of the stamps in question. There are more (many more) but these are the ones I think I want to purchase. Any advice on a decent offer?

I have started to sell some some stamps on ebay. When I list this type of material I start the bidding at about 5% of cat., never more than 10%

Thank you sinclair that's about where I wanted to be with these. I just didn't want to give an insulting offer and certainly don't want to overpay. I'm getting to the point now where I'm getting more certain of my grading skills (of what I am willing to pay for an item)so this is helpful information.

I think $40-$45 would be fair. You can get a nice #24 for 10 and that one looks to have rust, the 135 has some nibbled perfs on the right side, most have atrocious centering. The 259 is the best of the bunch as far as condition and centering and a couple of the Columbians look decent.

It's not rust it's a red and orange cancellation on the 24 and that's actually more than I planned on spending PLUS there is a wad more of this kind of stuff too so I'll make out.

I was looking at the bottom left and the bottom right of the 24, from the scan it looks like toning. I figured the 260 was a $10-$15 item in itself and the Columbians are probably worth $20.
