I promise not to post every time I find an anomaly in the Brunell Printed catalog, but I just want to ask if anyone else here uses it extensively and if so, do you find any issues?

First there was the Hartford CT 1932 5c Olympics Type 204, which was not in the catalog

Now there is the 1922 Charleston WV 12c, which the catalog says only exists inverted, but I have one in front of me that's the right way up.

I am NOT knocking Mr. Brunell -- the work is a marvel of commitment and I think most people would succomb to insanity long before even half completing such a project -- but I am curious, since I have only yet looked at a few towns, and since I am basing album pages on the catalog, whether these issues are frequent? It kind of messes up my plan for displaying them, if so.

Meantime, I've started an Errata document if anyone has contributions ...
Cheers.

This is a NICE discovery. It is unlisted in the 1952 West Virginia catalog also. If you have Dave Smith's email you might send him a scan as he is Mr. W.V. If you don't, with your permission, I'd like to send it to him.

I would say I am an idiot ... but ...

The 12c stamp in my picture came with a group of about 40 Charleston stamps, so I was more interested in the perfs than anything else.

But I was just sorting a general pile from a completely different source, and found *another* 12c WV ... slightly better centered and more legible.

It says HUNTINGTON, as does this one.

Oy vay.

Still curious as to why it's so short, though.
