What an interesting subject that spans the first years of US Stamp collecting. When you consider these were the dominating stamps for the first 60 years it is amazing that I'm just starting to give them a look.

It has been interesting learning about the history and differences in these stamps. It has become a challenge to pick a year to start off with.

What I an clear about is that a large percentage of these stamps will be out of my budget, however there is still enough left to satisfy my collector hunger.

The second part of the challenge will be learning how to collect MNH Franklin and Georges by learning new markets and looking for relative bargains in this class.

Does anyone else collect the Franklin & Georges?

Well where would you like me to start? Yes this is an area that is way to sparse even in my used stamp book.

If you get some time send me an email of what you have I would appreciate it.

I have a nice collection of doubles in the used area though most are in the 1960's - 1970's.

Thank you.
