Got myself an E5 last week basically for nothing so I cant really complain but...
On the reverse image it looks like a crease but on further examination with both a 1200dpi scan and a 30x loupe I just cant find any evidence of it on the obverse? Here you decide..

Obverse:

If you cannot feel anything on the obverse, I would think it more of just a scratch

Thank you ncbuckeye I guess it could be couldn't it? Never thought of a scratch. It almost looks an anomaly in the actual paper could that be?

EDIT:
It is almost certainly a scratch as it appears on other parts of the stamp as well and I can see it on the front side 5Th perf down on left to the "valley" leading up to the 9Th perf from bottom left. See it. ~bummer~

Looking at it I have to agree with Buckeye in that it looks to be a scratch or something along that line. I think a crease would be a Straighter line, plus as you mentioned it is undetectable from the face. Not a bad piece at all as the early Special deliveries are difficult to find well centered and yours is pretty good for this issue.

I actually done a higher resolution scan stallzer and there is a mark on the front. See post directly above your last one.
