Need some more help from the community! Trying to identify the Blood's penny post, have run a couple google searches with no luck. According to his note, this item even had my relative stumped

Thanks wt1, that is very a interesting article. If I read correctly and this stamp is real, would it make it uncommon? Sorry I'm such a newb.

Sorry to inform you but your copy is a forgery (forgery A) of the genuine stamp according to the Identifier for Carriers, Locals, Fakes, Forgeries, and Bogus or the United States.

Don't be overly discouraged as alot of the forgeries/ fakes were done close to the same time period as the originals. Of course some have been done recently but some of the early forgeries are in demand .

Still a very interesting stamp regardless of it's authenticity. Many people collect these forgeries as they are in demand.
