Welcome to Stamp Collecting Forum!

It's a nice collection of precanceled stamps you have there, but unfortunately nothing of any significant value. Don't let that discourage you, though. There are many collectors (myself included) who collect stamps -- and even precanceled stamps -- not for the value but for the joy of the hobby itself.

I would point out that precanceled stamps are quite a different sort of hobby than regular stamp collecting. As there are virtually millions of different precanceled stamps (and no one that I'm aware of could possibly have collected them all), most collectors narrow down their collection to a specific type of stamp, or city/state, perhaps even their home State as a collecting interest to focus upon.

For each city, there are often numerous typefaces used on precanceled stamps and there is even a whole array of specialized catalogs that list nothing but all of the known varieties of each precancel type. It can be a daunting task for the beginner, but as you gain experience with them, it becomes much easier to identify the types you may have in your collection.

If precanceled stamps interest you, I suggest you explore some of the information contained in this explanation from the Precancel Stamp Society website, which offers a wealth of information on how to start collecting precanceled stamps:

Of course, if you have any questions or wish to provide us with scans showing the stamps in your collection, feel free to post them here. We all love to look at stamps!
