Hello folks, new member here. Karl's the name & found this rather excellent forum by doing a search on Google for football stamps & being directed to a thread in the topical forum.

My main philatelic interest is football (soccer) stamps though I tend to avoid a lot of the commercial 'CTO' issues. I'm also interested in issues by the former Soviet Bloc countries that commemorate the Spartakiad sports events & the launch of the various Vostok missions.

Note to the admins - I dived in when I first registered and linked to my blog in my first two posts. I now know I have been a very naughty boy by doing that.

I would love to see some of your Vostok mission stamps. Vostok (meaning east) is the name of a friend of mine in Yorkshire.

footysphere! As we established earlier, both you and I have the same philatelic interests. I am new too, signed up only two or three days ago. I know, I've been on these forums quite a bit since. This forum is great isn't it. I look forward to having discussions with you and possibly some trades in the future. Again, great to have found someone with the same interest.
