I just purchased a hugh lot of stamp albums at an estate sale and wanted to know if anyone knows of a good website to help me with the pricing of these stamps. MOST are world wide stamps and are from all over. They date back top the mid 1800's. Thanks, Frank

Welcome to Stamp Collecting Forum.

My first suggestion to you would be visit your local Public Library and see if they have copies of the Scott Stamp Catalog. There are about 6 volumes. The catalogs are quite expensive to purchase, but are usually available in the reference section of most public libraries.

This is the standard from which most stamps are valued. Of course "values" depend a great deal on condition, rarity and desirability and more often than not the "values" on the secondary market will be only a percentage of the Scott Catalog value. Nevertheless, it will give you a start from which to determine those stamps that may have value as opposed to those which are very common.
