Hi,

I'm from Orlando, Florida and returning to stamp collecting after a long, long time (childhood). I feel like a newbie so I'm hoping to learn. I'm interested in US stamps. This seems like a terrific community and I'm glad to be here.

Welcome!

Glad to have you join us. Hope you like it, I know I do!

Got a stamp album yet?

Are you wanting to collect recent USA stamps or older? Or maybe all years?

Hi Dave

Thanks---

I have the Scott's National album---I know, big shoes to fill for a beginner---!

I'm currently reading the "Encyclopedia of United States Stamps and Stamp Collecting" by Juell & Rod. I'm really enjoying it. I'm collecting all years, but I see I'm becoming very interested in the early years.....this is a great place to learn.

Hi Chardae,

I've had a Minkus All American USA album that was my first album as a kid, two Harris Liberty US albums - the cover has fallen off on both of them, and most recently got a Scotts Minuteman USA album. Not really satisfied with any of them, so have been watching for a Scotts National album myself. Almost had one on e-bay but got snipped.

Thanks everyone for the great welcome!

My collection is really teeny tiny right now but I'm anxiously awaiting my first bulk off paper US stamp orders from ebay.

I got the National album from someone who thought they were going to get into stamp collecting but soon tired of it, there were only a few stamps in it, but I was very fortunate to get the Scott's and only need a few supplements to bring it up to date. I remember my HE Harris albums both US and Statesman from childhood....what happened to them I don't know and really regret losing track of.....

I will be working on those 50 posts...!
