Hello All. I usually just lurk in the background to see if the forum is of interest, and I am so impressed with this site that I thought I would also introduce myself. I've been collecting for many years, having inherited Grandma's collection who got interested from her mother. Back in those days, a lot of the collecting involved actually licking and gluing the stamps onto the pages, so I've got quite a lot of older stamps that need to be carefully removed some day. My collection is quite large, but I have been trying to concentrate on USA, France, and Canada. Every once in awhile, I get some "play" money and expand my collection in various areas. But, I also tend to find some oddities that I need more information, so I'll be posting questions all over the place. Have a great day.

Lurkers have good knowledge of scf's workings, it's always easy to slot in.
Sounds like you may have inherited nice stamps, don't remove them until members have advised on best non-destructive method.

Partime, I am sure you are going to find plenty of suggestions to help you with you stamps that have been licked in and I am also sure we would like to see some of what you have. I look forward to many great threads and discussions with you. WELCOME! - jeff

new member here as well. I've just finished removing a lot of stamps from paper and now, after it's all over, I find out about Orange Power air freshener to take modern stamps off paper where they have that horrible plastic adhesive. But others will have better advice than I can give you. Best of luck with the job ahead.
