New Zealand A Common Modern Error Often Overlooked

As many collectors will know the common New Zealand 1996 40 cent scenic (Tory Channel) has the second line of text missing (Marborough Sounds) this error is often found in kiloware which many overseas collectors may overlook, what is a common definitive worth a few cents but with the error is worth $8-10NZD. Have a look through your spares you never know.

Sydneyboy, thanks for pointing out the error. I have recently started collecting NZ stamps and have lots of them to sort. I found three of the Tory Channel stamps without the error but will keep looking.

Quite interesting! I don't collect New Zealand but it's an option in the future.

Nice looking error - very easy to spot - is this the only error for this issue of stamps or do the others in the series have the same error?

Thanks for your question, as these issues appeared in a booklet form as well, the mint booklet is sough after complete with this error. There are no similar errors with the other issues in the set. The only other errors I have seen and acquired a few are severe offsets, I have noticed colour variations from different printings. There are also 2 distinct perforation types with the set.
