So I found a bunch of stamps I ordered years ago still sealed in the plastic that USPS shipped them in and I was wondering, should I open them and put them in my acid free sleeves or keep them sealed? I have no idea if these things are acid free or not but will they be more valuable if kept sealed in the cardboard+plastic or should I remove them immediately? Thanks!
welcome to the forum, stampjedi! That is an excellent question. The cardboard and cellophane used by the USPS to "package" the stamps are not of archival quality, so yes, definitely remove them and place archival quality material.
Great thanks and thank you for the welcome! I used to collect stamps but then stopped and now I want to get back into it again. I'm glad I found this forum.
