The messy joint line may make it a rotary press coil issue. A clean joint line may make it a flat plate coil issue. Also, note the hole perforations in each row are parallel with each other in other rows for rotary press whereas for flat plate they are not parallel to each other.

Well, I finally got around to completing the coil pairs without a joint line, all are never hinged :)

495, this one is interesting. After posting the line pairs there was concern if the 495 was the real deal. I contacted the seller and he offered to refund it back to 15% of a coil pair without the JL. I then acquired this pair so I'm pretty confident that between the 2 pairs, 1i is legit.
